mmm nice, that looks a bit quicker than mine Shocked

to be honest im not keen on the sports type of bike, don't like the riding position. I'm more of a trails/enduro type.

the guy who had this before me only had it 12 months so he could pass his test. I'm sure I'll be doing the full test next year and get rid of the L-plates but not sure I'll have the money to upgrade just yet. i tend to hang onto things for a good few years. also the fact that this one is so cheap to run was/is a main factor in keeping it. 16 a year road tax !!! value motoring or what.

it's quite a tidy bike really, stayed away from any that had been "boy racer" bikes

not been on one for nearly 20 years, god that makes me feel old. can't believe its been that long affraid

I know exactly what you mean ie riding position!! sore wrists and i have a knackered knee anyway and its playing havok with it so next year i am buying a tourer so i am sitting more upright.
As for fast its only a 600cc bike the tourer i buy next year will be a 1250cc and that will be fast.

I have been wanting to get into biking for a while and bought a cheap racing bike to get going with it was a 2010 coyote sur but again knee is not helping Mad

Hi Mike,

Is that a harley Fatboy? I was sitting on a black 07 plate one of them today funny enough what a lovely noise they make Very Happy
Do you know what the best way of lifting the back wheel of the ground is? i had a paddock stand under the swing arm of my bike but on the harley its a completely different set up! plus the rear bolt looks to be pushed through from the exhaust side so unless the swing arm comes down enough it looks like the exhausts will have to come off? He has a slow puncture on his one he came in saying it was spongy on the arse end lol not surprised with only 10psi in it lol

Cheers

It's a Kawasaki VN 900 Mark, not sure how you get a wheel off a Harley.

just to up-date this...

did the CBT (compulsory basic training) course last Monday and spent some hard earned on a helmet, jacket, gloves and insurance so now im legal to ride the 125 cheers

really enjoyed the CBT and trying to remember to do every thing "correctly" now. amazing that after a few hours of "real basic" training im allowed to ride a bike thats capable of 65mph (just) but there you go. the scary thing is that they will allow a 17 year old to ride these. at least i have 20 years of driving experience to fall back on Suspect

anyway, a really boring video of my ride home, filmed with my cycle camera.

Now that is a blast from the past. Only lasted 2 seasons I think. The hyper-speed effect did not translate well to people walking.

streethawk only lasted one season, the complete series including pilot is now available on DVD (yes i have it Laughing )

the exhaust sound is a combination of the bike's true sound and the rattle caused by my cheap 15 camera's internal workings having come loose. Ive had it apart and tried fixing it with bathroom sealant but some thing somewhere is still rattling Evil or Very Mad

If that is the case, he could work somewhere else and the kits would be half the price.

im not skint cos of the amount of pay i get, im skint cos i keep spending it Rolling Eyes

in between MW and STW the company i was working for were affected by the recession just like everyone else. i was on a 4 day week and earning much less than usual so all my saving went up the Swanee.

although the motorbike is dirt cheap to run the initial out lay was about 2000 including helmet, jackets, boots etc.

i remember a character in one of the kids comics, beano i think. he was called Issy skint or something... thats me Laughing Laughing

PS: plus the main point of the topic was NOT about being skint Laughing Laughing
