Engineers Emporium
Regarding contact with the Engineers Emporium I have this morning received in the post a nice colourful brochure of their products and a questionnaire to fill in.
They inform me that they have taken over the 5" live steam loco range previously supplied by MW and will shortly be continuing the production of all parts to complete our locomotives.
We have to be patient while they familiarise themselves with the range but they do have previous experience of Winsons range having built many examples.
Hopefully we should all start to resume building our loco's once more

Re: MW's 5" Gauge Locomotive Announcement
Is there any update on who is taking over this. I got told by a guy at my club that they saw at a show a full kit for the Hunslet 0 4 0 Charles. I love this Loco due to firing it's sister engines on the Ffestiniog and i'm trying to find out who it is thats doing it but have had no joy.. does anyone know? or if you visiting Harogate this weekend keep and eye out for me as I ordered the planes to build my own but a Kit route would be so much quicker..
thanks for any info.

Re: MW's 5" Gauge Locomotive Announcement
Regarding this topic, I noticed recently that Lynx Model Works are now doing 5" and 71/4" gauge locomotive kits. Not sure if the name means any connection to the original Modelworks though. They are offering parts to order for the Modelworks Duchess on one of their pages so not sure what information/rights they have to the designes.

Well all I can say is dont make any "up front" payment pay when you collect and run it first if not you could be still waiting 4 years later and all you'll have had is a cart load of bullshit and blatent lies.

Re: MW's 5" Gauge Locomotive Announcement
I'd love to see STW doing at least one or two Locomotives... I really want a 5" gauge Linda, Blanche or Charles but cant find any for sale pre-made and a kit would be so much easier to make..
Do STW do commisions for Locomotives??? hint hint! Dean!!
