Preston services have two paired ploughing engines in 3" scale forsale at 30K they look the size of a 4"

would be great models in 4" scale I love the wide wheels and low lok they have.

Is there or could there be anything in the pipeline for a Fowler ploughing engine when the DCC's are finished in a couple of years time? Something like a BB1/AA or Z7 would be magical.

These engines are very thin on the ground and would make a fantastic model due to their sheer size and presence.

So....... what are the chances ??

Hi Brian,

Yeah I know about this one - I've seen it in the flesh and know the guy that built it. Not selling the RL though, I like too much, but I always wanted a plougher.

I found about this after 18 months into the RL build but now decided to take the plunge and make one from their castings.

I was trying to persuade STW to build one but couldn't raise enough interest. So I've acquired a mill and now searching for a bigger lathe and have a load of castings and bits arriving today!

By the way, your engine is looking really good now, be good if STW can get us all together for a steam up at their towers in the summer !

Cheers

Rick

Rick

If STW do a meet this summer at the factory maybe following all the discussion else where on the forum they could arrange a mass boiler inspection session for those of you close to needing a certificate.
