Hugh

We got them with Kit 17, the gears, as they were missed out of the 'set'. If you speak to STW they will send you a set.

Anyone found anything suitable to use as a drive belt for the govenor pulleys? I am trying with a black flat shoe lace but getting a join is a bit of a challenge.

Just wondering whether a "leather" shoe lace would do the job fine? Darken it up a bit with some polish n use brass pins as joiners (bend em to look like staples)??

actually i was thinking about the drive belt myself. being a cyclist i wondered if a strip of rubber cut from an inner tube would do the trick ???

if you can't find an inner tube of the right size, a bit of puncture repair glue would make a very strong join

Anyone tried to use a small section "O'' ring as a belt to drive the governor pulley?

Black polychord'll do the job oright enough, the good thing is it can be any length you need, you just need a soldering iron or summat else hot enough to melt the two ends together..

According to biologists they stretch better and are more flexible so shouldn't snap. So make sure you use the females only. if you want to know how to tell the difference just ask! but you will need a teapot to do it.

It's not easy to tell them apart

Put them all in the teapot and leave them overnight,

In the morning the females will be all up the spout Wink
