Boiler Paint

I've got a tin of satin Black Hammerite paint going spare will this be ok to use on my boiler or do I need special high temp stuff ?

Don't use hammerite on any part of the engine.
It's evil stuff.

Its said its better to paint the boiler white to help reflect the heat back rather than radiate it outwards. But who paints their boiler white ?

I re-painted my boiler with high temp stove paint ........ black Laughing

Must admit I dont like Hammerite.

Going to use the Plasti-kote BBQ Spray paint that I have used on the smoke box & chimney
