GETTING THE SHOWMAN READY FOR DORSET

Post  Simon C on Sun 20 Aug 2017, 6:57 pm

Gee Lynn
you’ve only been at Steam Traction World for 4 weeks and they have you working at 2:45 on a Sunday ‘’polishing’’.
I saw the engine only last Wednesday and credit to you it was certainly ready for its annual polish looks great.
Just out of interest how did you liberate it from the showroom it must have taken an effort near on as great as the polishing? especially with all those o.o.d. leaflets in the way.

Great to see all my hard work getting a bit of TLC, if they have a car battery handy you can get the lights working!

They usually do a control model with every batch, the completed Showmans that Lynn has polished up I built for Dean a few years ago. It was built from new kits and was not a control model. Really nice to see it looking it's best.

I don't think they have built a control model this time with the second batch.
