Simple Steering Mod

I steamed my engine, for the first time last Saturday (only taken just over five years!!) I didn't ride behind it but did set it in motion going in circles. I found whenever the front wheels kicked up against a divvet or a small stone it would throw the steering off in another direction. I attributed this to too much slop in my steering chains. On investigation there isn't sufficient slop to loose a link!

The picture below shows how I've overcome this with two springs. It's made all the difference. As for the size and weight of the spring I couldn't tell you anything apart from they seemed 'about right' from a spring assortment box!!
