WOW, stunning piece of work there...keep the pictures coming!..... Great to see another engine coming to life. That magnificent paintwork is worthy of a Showman's Engine Twisted Evil

Tony

I was about to comment the fact you appear to have the picture upload down pat.

Looking very swish indeed. By the looks even the block studs are millimetre perfect.

A very beautiful build. I like the plain nuts on the covers. Interesting to see that you have put an accumulator on the pump.  I haven't found that the pump knocks on the DCC, but did fit one to my previous engine, an agricultural.

What lining will the engine carry?

Thanks Tim,
We decided to put the brass vessel on the pump as we had one on our previous engine, I always thought it looked nice and I love cleaning brass 😀
Does the pump work ok with out any bleed screws?

We are using the same colour scheme as our previous engine which was black red and yellow. I will post a photo to show you.

Kind regards
Jon

Having read on here that the oilers for the wheels throw out a lot of oil we have decided to use greasers,
We have made these for the front wheels'

Eccentrics have been finished off over the weekend. I must give credit to STW on there machining  they only needed a little lapping in.
The pump eccentric on the other hand was very tight and needed a lot of lapping in.
Dad decided to gap the eccentrics with shims for running in, these can then be taken out when we have used the engine for a season.

Another little extra we decided to do was to put a greaser on the front axel pin,

I will be doing one or two extras like your grease points but I thing the standard of finish that you are working to is excellent and sets the bar very high indeed.
