Looking good there. Nice to see progress.

Suggestion. Take a nice clear, clean closeup of the boiler build plate. It will help in the future for registration as the crank pit will become the black hole of Calcutta soon enough.

More progress
Reverser and gear guard test fitted


Reverser and gear guard painted and fitted


Gluing friction material to brake band


Brake assembly fitted


Steamhead and pipework fitted


Water pump painted, ready to be fitted


Gear change test fitted


New gear change plate made, holes in the original didn't line up


Whistle tuned and fitted


Gear change painted and completed.


Water gauge fitted

Engine looks great Barry well done, the brown & green go together well, Don't know how you can wait another week before lighting a fire, there should be no problem in running as on air its running fine, the only problems you should check are steam leaks & pump, injector working to name a few but don,t get in a panic with steam leaks as if they are small as the steam pressure goes up those leaks will seal up, just take your time in firing with wood & have fun as always & good luck on its first firing
