Painting the leaf spings

Post  phil gomez on Fri 19 Dec 2014, 11:01 am

What paint would the guys and girls out there recommend for painting the leaf spring suspension?
I have some craftmaster black coach enamel, would that be alright or do I need a more specialised paint as there is a certain amount of movement / flex in the assembly.
Thanks.

Phil.

I sprayed the inner surfaces with a clear anti-rusting spray, cleaned off the outer edges and finished the whole spring with gloss black Hammerite, time will tell if it has done any good.
