Cheers Alan, as regards to the gear change mine lined up fine when the bracket was bolted to hornplates, I did however have to make a small brass spacer between yoke and outside bracket to make the gear change work nicely also had to polish up shaft a fair bit to get the yokes to move freely, but not too much as you do not want them to lock on the shaft as they slide (I.e them twisting). I also had to make the hole in the gear change lever into a slot to be able to screw in the locking pin when its in or out of gears. Hope this info is of use to you

Thanks Tim. The spacer definitely makes a difference. Holding the gear change top plate on its end between the bracket and the yoke (doing a temporary job of your spacer) and the 2nd gear disengages fully. Also changing the hole to a slot on the lever will help when fitting the pin, something else i'll be doing too!
