Well Tim, that is indeed great progress, so good to see pictures of such a marvellous SCC engine going together.... I particularly like the photo of all the cylinders on the Harley & the traction engine!!!.... I also have a thundering great Harley... in terms of engineering I think they are very similar!!Ha!!

Fabulous paintwork!!

Regards,
Tony

Hi Tim,

Your build looks fantastic.

Where in the U.S. are you moving to? I only ask because I live in Canada, on the west coast.

Best regards
Mark

Very nice Tim!! I've been twiddling my thumbs for ages because I still don't have a cylinder block gasket; when did you get yours? I think a call to Steve is in order!

Hi Chris

I had the cylinder gasket given to me when I collected the boiler, I think it came in the box that contain the fusible plug etc....
Im waiting for piston rings at moment, then I can get on and line up the slide bars and crosshead.

Cheers Tim

Hi Mark.
Yes the Garrett is mine and my father and I take it to about 10 rally's a year or so, we also do a fair few miles a year just going on various road runs around Poole on our own, we have owned the engine for the last 11 years and has proved to be a very reliable engine only the usual running repairs to do. Before that I had a 4" Foster for 5 years.

Cheers Tim

Look fantastic Tim, excellent paint job. I've put off putting on the belly tank as I thought that the cladding needed to go on first, if not I'll put mine on as well, that will clear some more shelf space in the garage!

The bellytank is only put on temporarily to check for fit etc.... as is the tender, I realise they will have to be removed to fit other parts but I just wanted to see what it would look like !

Cheers Tim

Great set of pictures Tim for a wonderful looking engine.
If mine looks half as good as yours I'll be well happy.
Did like the one with Harley in the background. The two do go hand in hand.
Shall have to take one of my engine alongside the Shovelhead. Similar technology.
Keep up the good work and look forward to more pics.

Jim
