Wally of the day!

Post  MrStationHouse on Fri 07 Nov 2014, 2:38 pm

After testing my tanks and realising that I have a missing fitting on the left hand side of the tank (that is when I spotted water pouring out!) I now need to find out what goes in this hole.

The offending hole being on the left hand side just ahead of the brake shaft and slightly below on the left hand side can anyone enlighten me please?

Best wishes
Simon

Hi

Belly tank drain hole. Blank stainless steel bolt and a washer. It will appear in a kit at some point. I can not remember which kit.

Ah

Just read again.

If it's the tender. There is a balance pipe between the tender and belly tank.

A picture would be helpful

Which explains why I haven't used it as I haven't fitted it yet. I have been concentrating on getting it into steam. I have just got to fit the water pump and do the cold pressure test.

Best wishes
