Looking good, the paintwork is wearing well considering how busy your engine is.

Now for something slightly different.
Look inside the boiler before it has a washout.

Very interesting Lynn. Do you have a record of total steaming hours that Chrystal has acthived, and what boiler treatment, if any, do you use?

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic Part 2
Hi
Yes I keep a log book.
She has done 840 hours in steam.
Roughly 1000 road miles, did not always have the GPS tracker with me. With 2014 having 180 miles and 2015 210 miles.
Longest single trip 35 miles.
Average at home play day. 15 to 20 miles.
Fastest accumulation of road miles. The Wainwrights birthday bashes and hill climb.
I am known for my habit of not staying still while at a steam event. No idea of miles done at events but Crathes in 2014 I did 25 miles in one day on the field.
Boiler treatment used is Heritage Steam Supplies Multitreat for steel and copper.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic Part 2
Greeting everyone.
Well it is that time of year. Crystal is stirring from her winter slumber and will soon be time to get out of bed and get active for the 2017 season.
I am planning on doing more videos this season with focused subjects as well as general steaming events.
Once I start uploading videos I will post the links here.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic Part 2
Looking forward to your videos Lynn,
Are you going to do an instructional video on firing on a road run ,showing frequency of firing ,pumping/injecting water, use of damper etc.
Could have some post narration explaining what you are doing and why.
Im sure an operational video like this would be popular with the new engine owners.
could even include initial steam raising on to the road run then final blow down engine to bed.
What do you think?

Hopefully do some recording tomorrow.
De-winterize / First steam.
Basic firing, how to listen to your engine's needs.

Hi All
Part one of a series of videos. Steaming an engine from first test steam to operational and getting ready for a road run etc.
Initial filling with water.
Part 2. Lighting Up and raising steam will be tomorrow.

Another fascinating video. Good idea for filling the boiler, easier than through the front plate.

Thanks for the video Lynn. Most informative.
There might be a few southerners who may need subtitles.
Only kidding. Looking forward to the next one.
Keep up the good work. Much appreciated.

Fantastic videos Lynnr. Very useful for a beginner like me. Ive just signed up to the latest production of the SCC starting in June and can't wait.
Looking forward to Part 3 video when we can see some movement and that chug sound I could sit and listen all day.
