Allusive Loco Builder

Post  sonick45 on Sat 27 Apr 2013, 2:47 pm

I thought I would post a quick message to those who might have been wondering what had happened to Sonick45 and his Road Loco. I've not stopped visiting here although building my RL "THE MISTRESS" has stopped for the meantime. WHY..?

I started a project 1 year ago which was to gut the whole house, build an extension and fit a new kitchen.
This was long overdue and needed to be done at the stage - family planning etc. Laughing
All was going so well until my wife turned around to me and said... "Your going to be a dad". Very Happy Shocked

A little sooner than anticipated Cool

House in now finished.
Baby due anytime now and things have had to take a back seat and the RL came first. Mad

I can't progress with my build until after maternity leave and it is really hard seeing the engines that I started building with out in steam... Sad

I plan to be at Banbury thou.

Keep the photos rolling in.. Keeps me going. bounce

Congratulations Nick, that's great news. Getting the house finished before the baby arrived is quite an achievement as well.

Congratulations Nick.

You do pick costly hobbies and activities. Very Happy I did notice you were not posting much but did not want to comment as the last time I enquired about someone's progress. I later found out they had died Sad

Is the child going to be named after a Burrell engine?

Nick

As I told you at the weekend, get to Banbury and you can have my engine for the day, scale driver and all!!

If Charlotte has a girl you could call her "Mini Mistress" as she will take even more of your time Razz

I applaud you managing to paint my Belly Tank during all this too, thumbs up for that.

Nick,

Congratulations: mine is due next Monday (6th May) – I hope this isn’t a trend amongst Road loco Builders!

Unfortunately I don’t think babies come with a comprehensive set of instructions as issues by STW, although Isabel does offer good advice in these matters! Hopefully Bedford will be Jnrs first outing to a rally.

It has taken me (well Mrs P) less time to assemble the intricate parts of a little person than it has me to put together my Road Loco……. It must be something to do with painting and finishes!

Just noticed that if I am not logged in my link in the post above gets changed to a basic amazon link which then makes no sense whatsoever. If both words "amazon linky" are green then you go where I intended if just "amazon" is green don't bother. Evil or Very Mad
