Windermere Kettle

Post  atomenter on Tue 02 Apr 2013, 11:59 am

Hi All
I have attached a couple of pics of my "new" kettle, being steamed for the first time. The pictures are less than a minute apart. The kettle body is made from brass fittings rescued from a sunken wreck. I am led to believe it was parts of an air compressor and had been at the bottom of the sea for 30-40 years.

It worked great - never be short of a cuppa now!!

This what the original cylinder looked like:

Thanks to all the posts with this as a theme.

Regards

Tom
