Wooden toolbox

Post  simonbos on Sat Jan 26, 2013 12:20 pm

Hi all
Was having a look at how the wooden toolbox goes together last night. What holds it all together apart from the glue and how does it fix to the underside of the walkboard? Am planning on using some small brass screws to hold everything together or is this the wrong thing to do?
Thanks,
Simon

Use good quality wood glue & clamp bits together until glue is set/hardened off. No need to use screws except to hold the metal back strip whick runs along the walk board.

You might find this silly but the in side of my tool box has been wall papered and carpeted as my sister is working on the sofa and coffee table to go in it right now. She came by to say hi one day when she left with out me knowing she did a runner with my tool box and thought it would be great to do something with it becaus i was just going to lock it shut it was going to get a birds nest in there but after seeing somthing on tv the idea came round of turning it in to a 1920's front room.

Not that this is any help to you what so ever just thought you might like to know of some things a bit silly i think its going to look pretty good when the engine is parked up with the tool box open some thing a bit different.
