There's something missing there.... can't put my finger on it..... Question Oh Yes I know, oil, crud, general road grime, rally field dust and shite!!!! Very Happy Laughing Very Happy

This is another engine that is very likely to get Best in Show easily when it hits the fields next year, will have to plan 2014 diary carefully to avoid being on the same field!!!! Very Happy Very Happy

Only teasing really, exceptional job, wish I tried harder now Sad Sad Won't be the same next year without my helper, perhaps we can have a role reversal although I'm looking forward to the drag races between us Laughing Laughing

I am taking my darkest sunglasses to Banbury or I will be blinded, even the push pole has a cracking finish on it - wait while you take it on the road for a few miles then see what it looks like Twisted Evil

Superb job Andy, look forward to seeing it in a weeks time.

Simply stunning!! A real head turner!!
The general standard of builds being shown on the forum is truly amazing & I bet STW are delighted that their engines are getting such "professional" finishes........... You couldn't get a better form of advertising!!
Very well done.

Tony

I'm not coming to Banbury now....Crying or Very sadCrying or Very sad I can't be shown up with my efforts EmbarassedEmbarassed

Seriously though I suspect in the flesh it will be even more impressive, almost certain there will be another award winner there and a very nice colour scheme. The front of this months OG has a nicley restored RL on it, not a bad one to copy.

All we need is a copy of a pickfords trailer with a load and we can look like the playpen at Dorset.Very Happy

I have just finished adding a glockenspiel and animated conductor to the organ for Banbury so hopefully if I cant turn heads I will at least get peoples attention!!! What a Face The overall however effect is to me simply superb, it adds another dimension to the music and certainly makes a racket!!!

We will all have to make our way over the the STW stand for a group photo surely??

Oilers

Post  the coleman on Sat 05 Oct 2013, 7:56 am

Made a couple of brackets for two oilers for the rear axle I'm going feed 5/32 pipe into the oil box pipe . Also  moved the brackets away from the spec plate which has made it easier to remove the lids .  I was always dropping Kevyn's lids .

That needs a fire in it!!!!!!! Cant wait to take yours round the field and get a comparison.

Seriously though awesome job on the paint and lining of the wheels I saw yesterday and thanks for helping with the reg mend, it has really helped us both, me being mended and you doing the mods before you are running.

Hi Andy,

I see you have the brass plates with the burrell and build number on your valve covers, which kit do these come in as I only have kit 30b left to arrive and still do not have these plates for my engine.?
The wind has played havoc with my flywheel paint the doors on the garage are clearly not stopping it coming in and has deposited loads of dust or even grit in the enamel.
