At what point can I lock down my right-hand side wheel

Post  Brian M on Sat 19 May 2012, 1:43 pm

Hi All,

In which kit can I expect the bits to lock down the right-hand side wheel. I am expecting a tow to an event in July from a road loco and I do not want to stop every 100 yards to move the tender off the brake block Very Happy

Thanks,

Brian M

It is dependant on the drive casting and there has been no mention of that in the coming kit. STW could be having the same problem with the foundry over this casting as is with the flywheel.

There is a possibility that some castings (minus the flywheel Crying or Very sad ) are on their way from the foundry as Dean said a number are done and being held back by the flywheel. This is so that the water pump can go on and the crank can be finalised and also that the last kit (apart from the roof ) with all the outstanding stuff isnt a huge kit. With the pump, flywheel, gear change, RH axle casting there's quite a lot in that!!

I suspect this info will be confirmed by those that know
