Hole in whistle

So what size hole do we have to drill in the whistle base And where ?.

About 3mm will do very well. Fits but not too tight. Remember to limit your plunge as the brass is very soft.

lynn is right. the 3mm angled hole that comes up from the base of the body should continue through into the part that has been screwed into the side of the body.

at the moment the steam is blocked and will not operate the whistle. drill this hole through and you will create the steam passage so the assembled whistle can act like a tap and work as it should.
