Street Signs

In recent months I have spotted a number of signs relating to the use of traction and steam vehicles on our roads.

These two are in Dorchester, note the different spelling of the surname (i wonder if this is an error or not, as the normal spelling has only one "F")

I wonder how many of these signs form days gone by still exist on our highways?

Theres an interesting bridge at Easebourne near Midhurst, if I'm up that way I'll try to get a picture of it. I like the use of the phrase "ponderous carriages" slow lumbering smelly things they are.... And the idea of being transported for life!!! Now thats how to do justice!!! Bring it back I say, but dont inflict then on another country shoot them into space!!!

You can not do that!!!


It is bad for the environment. What happens to the ash when they burn up on re-entry?
