Cheshire Steam Fair - July 14th & 15th (confirmed)

Post  bjwlancashire on Fri 27 Jan 2012, 6:30 am

I plan to attend this event as a spectator again this year and relax but was wondering if I should enter "Blackbeard" to it's first event and get in as an exibitor. Very Happy It will not be complete by then but should be pretty close, maybe 4 kits short, so would be transportable.

I was wondering if Brian and Dwain would be doing the same?? It would be a first to get 3 STW DCC engines lined up at the same event this year. Anyone else close enough to bring one??

Cheers

Brian

Hi Brian,

If the miniatures are there this year we may be attending. There are two other local builders (one a member of AMTEC) so it may be four from STW.

All the best,

Brian M

Hi all,

I plan to attend this event as spectator as it only 30mins down the road!

I will not be able to get my engine out of the workshop! so it will have to stop at home,

But i will be attending the Riverside Rally, Banks, Southport, Lanxshire PR9 8DF with my 4" Ag Burrell

Cheers

Brian

Clive is responsible for the miniatures section isn't he? He was not happy last year on the coal allocation if I remember correctly? Is the 4th engine a Road Loco or Showmans, will I be the odd one out? Oops dumb question, handing you a punch line already. Razz

Shaun

I hope to be at Riverside helping out so will keep a look out for you. I ended up looking after Prospector for the Saturday last year but not sure if it's back in one piece yet as it had some fire box work done during the latter half of last year.

Cheers

Hi Brian,

Clive was responsible last year, not sure if he will be doing it this year. Also, the other loco is a road loco, so you are in luck Very Happy

Shaun, as I am also not far from the Cheshire show ground, Middlewich end, where do you live?

Cheers,

Brian

Shaun

I hope your not having width clearance problems like other builders who posted on this forum recently!! Laughing There is going to be a lot of building work going on to get these engines out of sheds, back gardens etc..

Good news on Prospector then.

Maybe Brian M can use this to his advantage if he get's the right trailer height - back trailer up to step and then engine goes straight on without the need for a ramp Smile
