Gauge glass protectors

Post  atomenter on Tue 20 Dec 2011, 1:27 pm

Hi All - espacially Craig

Seeing a post in another thread about gauge glass ptotectors reminded me that there was a problem with the length of the ones supplied for the Foden. I returned mine to Steve at Pickering and slightly shorter ones were being sourced.

Craig any ideas what is happening about them?

Best Regards and a "Guid New Year to ane an all" and "May a moose never leave your Girnel wi' a tear drap in its ee!!"

PS Craig - still haven't got the Foden window kit!! - lost in transit maybe??

Gauge glass glasses

Post  atomenter on Thu 09 Feb 2012, 1:12 pm

Hi Ian
I spoke to Steve regarding the missing nuts from the last kit (handhole covers) and he said that gauge glass glasses had arrived but had been sent out with the Showman's kits!!!! More are due in over the next week or so.
How's the build coming on? I have been advised not to use silicone sealer on the tank as it plays havoc with any future paint. I will be using a sealant called "dripcheck" (used in the car repair industry) to bed down all the flanges of the tanks once I have painted the insides with Isoflex.

Regards

Tom
