Build WebSite

Post  sonick45 on Tue 15 Sep 2009, 1:42 pm

Hi all,

I thought I would post this link as I am away getting married and honeymooning in October and the plan at the moment is to start the build in November.Laughing

I plan to document the entire build/paint and running of my DCC Burrell.

it's not a new idea as other STW owners have done the same in the past.

What I hope to achieve is while having extreme fun building the engine i am also creating an archive for future reference
and for personal achievement.

it will also serve as a reference for those also building and has a dedicated email address should you wish to drop me a line or two...

If any of you have any ideas of what might be a good idea to add to the site let me know..

Dean/Steve, I have used pictures/videos that have been posted on youtube mainly casting and machining. I hope you don't mind and i'll remove them at your request.

Hope to see some of you at Old Warden...sunny

Trust me Big Al,

To be fair i'd planned to build an engine before i'd planned to get married...
unfortunately both have clashed but my ultimate controller (wife) is a very understanding one and thankfully she has allowed it..

I've got plently to do....
Here the list so far.

1. Complete single story extension to rear of house.
2. Move kitchen into extension.
3. knock out two internal walls and fit new bathroom.
4. Go for promotion at work
5. Lay garden path
6. Start a family

sometime between doing all this complete a 4" road loco and keep a web site updated...

no problem. Wink

Craig,

I plan to revamp the site as the build progresses as the the idea was to get a basic site constructed before we start the engine.

The use of photos and videos of production will be greatly appreciated...

cheers
Nick
