Hi everyone

Just a small observation, don't know if anyone else had noticed, but a can of beer sits nicely in the ring of bolts on the tank top.

Don't know what the score would be when it comes to drink/driving but a good place to keep one if you don't mind warm beer.

And it didn't fall over when I was running around earlier today there you go £8000 on a mobile beer can holder.!!!

Hi there

In contrast to hughb spending time underground, I recently had the opportunity of having a trip to the top of one of the towers on the Forth Road Bridge. The top is 156 metres above sea level and the view was terrific. If Dean reads this he may have memories of driving his Lykamobile over it on the John o' Groats to Lands End trip.

All the best

Personally my dosh is on the Valuev, it's not that i'm not patriotic and i'd like to see Haye win but i just think Valuev is good value at about even money for a bloke twice my size! , who's never been down and is fighting a bloke with a suspect chin. Come to think of it most blokes are twice my size so he must be three times!

Some one had to start it off..............so i'll do it.

Who's been of use to you while building your engines. Whether that's paint suppliers, tooling suppliers or just anything miscellaneous that's helped. Tell us about them good or bad and hopefully it will help point everyone else in the right direction.

I'll start of with: www.steamfittings.co.uk

To all who read this,

Before I embark on my own "labour of love" as start my build i thought i would post the question :-

If you could turn back time what would you have done differently when building your engine?

This could relate to painting or mechanical or even what sundries you have used (oils/tools etc)

This may stop myself and others from stumbling into the same problems and issues.

I'm a firm believer that a good engineer is one that shares his problems ...
