Hi All DCC Road Loco and Showman's builders,

With the first Kit so close to being despatched i can imagine you are all 'chomping at the bit' eagerly awaiting delivery so i thought i'd give you a little bit more of an appetiser by adding a Jpeg of how part of the design is looking and updating everyone with what else has been happening.

The production folder has now been issued and all the material has been ordered. All the steel has now been delivered with machining due to start soon. ...

Hi Dean/Steve,
It was mentioned to me by another STW customer that the new wheels you supply are already vulcanised.

Can you confirm this rumour?

I would be interested anyway as the shear weight of the RL will surely cause them to strip quite quickly.

Hi all,

I thought I would post this link as I am away getting married and honeymooning in October and the plan at the moment is to start the build in November.

I plan to document the entire build/paint and running of my DCC Burrell.

it's not a new idea as other STW owners have done the same in the past.

What I hope to achieve is while having extreme fun building the engine i am also creating an archive for future reference

and for personal achievement.

it will also ...

Hi All,

I have added below a few Jpeg images of how the design is coming along, just to wet your appetite. There's a front shot, a rear shot and one of the tender with the brake assembly attached. Currently the engine is being designed as 'The Showmans' version this is due to the way 3D modelling works. It is easier for us to complete the majority of the Showmans design, duplicate the files and then alter the solids that are appropriate to the Road Loco only. At this stage only the smoke ...

Hi All,

Quick update on the DCC engines.

We took an additional 5 orders at the Great Dorset Steam Fair, (3 Showman's and 2 Road Loco's) taking the order book up to 20.

We are still planning to start manufacture in November and DO NOT intend to over manufacture as the costs involved to produce kits for stock are too high. If you are sitting on the fence and considering placing an order may i suggest you get your order in as soon as possible or there is a real possibility you will ...
