I have just had a successful air test, at the first attempt. With no load apart from the water pump (less packing) i can get the engine to turnover at approx 15psi. Dad is most impressed as I think he thought it would never work!

Can you confirm this rumour?

Couple of points - The horizontal bevel and Vertical bevels are in the wrong packages - they are arse about face

My kit didn't contain an oiler (page 3 end of second paragraph) and it's not listed on packaging. Anyone else missing one?

I'll be going up on saturday with a friend with his 4" Burrell DCC RL.

I've not been to the rally before bit it looks like it should be a fun day with steam trains running etc.


Not sure on numbers of engines however it'll be a nice end to the rally season for me..

Any chance of a progress report on the 4" Burrell ?

It seems to have gone very quite, havn't seen an update
since mid-July.

This self-servo action will make it a wonderful brake when facing forward downhill, but totally untrustworthy vice-versa. I have parked mine on a gentle slope the 'wrong way round', and been surprised how easy it is to push it backwards with the brake well on. I see on the main website that you plan to produce kits for a 2" wagon

Is this still on the cards and will it follow once the 2" Burrell is complete or have I got to go and build one to my own design?

Obviously, if the 2" wagon was not commenced till after the burrell then we would not be able to ride it around for this season as the 2" is not due to finish till about August or September.

After my trip to STW it was tools down for the shead and on with the engine .so I have some pics for you to see. First big prob was. As I am a messy painter I had to clean out all my wheals done on the piller ...
